P-Funk North is back with another hit. David, Ryan, and Kevin came together and created gold with their new single, “Anxiety”. This Reggae Rock anthem is another example of jut how tight this band is. P-Funk North is an East Coast Reggae Rock scene powerhouse right now and are on a clear path to bigger and better things. Make sure you hop on the bandwagon now!
“Anxiety” was recorded recorded, mixed, and the artwork was done at Weilhouse Productions by dummer Ryan Weil. It was mastered by David Irish, who has worked with bands such as Reel Big Fish, Tunnel Vision and Kash’d Out, at Pot of Gold Recording. This song is in my top 3 favorites from P-Funk North. The songs starts off with guitar chords than send you straight into Reggae Rock heaven. It has such strong Sublime vibes, similar to their song, “Pawn Shop”. You can’t help but rock your body along to the vibes. If you’re not sold on the tremendous instrumentals, the message behind this song will capture your attention. “Anxiety” hits the nail on the head with the way society has evolved over the past few years. “Is it me? Is it fate? Is it destiny? Yeah, I don’t recognize the face that’s staring back at me. Is it society? Is it anxiety? I can’t believe, can’t believe what they’re telling me, can’t believe all the bullshit that they’re selling me. Can’t believe all the stories that they think are true, can’t believe anything that they say or do!” If that verse doesn’t describe what it’s like to listen to the bullshit that goes on in this world, I don’t know that does.
P-Funk North is quickly solidifying their name in the East Coast Reggae Rock scene. It’s only a matter of time before they blow up nation wide! Check out “Anxiety” and other P-Funk North tracks on the blog’s Spotify playlist: After Hours Review!
